Bellanos is built on the work of others. This page names the design foundations and the open-source software it stands on.
Design foundations
The marketing site and the app were adapted from two commercially licensed templates (ADR-0008). We re-pointed the copy, the components and the flows to what this product does; the starting structure was not ours.
- landy
- The starting point for the marketing site — sections, layout and the Next.js App Router setup.
- dash
- The app's UI substrate — its shadcn/ui primitives, utilities and data patterns.
Open-source software
Among the open-source projects Bellanos depends on, and with thanks:
- Next.js & React
- The application framework and UI library.
- Tailwind CSS
- The styling system our design tokens sit on.
- shadcn/ui & Radix UI
- The accessible, copy-in component primitives behind the app interface.
- cmdk
- The command-palette behind the "Should I buy this?" surface.
- Recharts
- The charting used to show where money goes.
Each of these carries its own licence in our dependency tree. If you would like the full list with versions and licences, write to support@bellanos.me.
The evidence we plan around
The guidance Bellanos gives rests on published clinical and regulatory sources, each cited where it is used. Those citations appear with the plan itself, not here, so you can see the basis for a specific suggestion at the moment you read it.
